One of my favorite treasures from this
summer's yard sale season,
was found tucked, unmarked, in a box of stuff
underneath a table ~ the price?...Free!
It's very heavy {cast iron?} and painted
white. I love the aged patina, so just cleaned
it up and left it
as is.
I searched some stores for the right size
shade, but only came up with ones
either too small or too large.
Finally, at another yard sale, I found
this somewhat dingy paper shade for $1.50...
With a remnant of fabric and some spray glue,
I recovered it...
... and gave it a new home in
the dining room.
