rhubarb time

Today is sunny and warm - a nice break between the cooler rainy weather we've had. After hanging out laundry, doing a little mowing, and feeding the animals, I decided to pick the rhubarb and head inside to bake some pies...for me, a rhubarb pie really says SPRING!

On a recent trip to a couple local Amish country stores to replenish baking supplies and spices...
...(as well as their excellent 3-year cheddar) I also found some really nice quilting cotton fabrics. Now that the pies are in the oven, I'm headed to the sewing machine to finish off a batch of clothespin bags...
