I just bought myself some fun head and hand mannequins to display knitted items. I'll show them off tomorrow if DH remembers to bring home batteries for the camera.

For those who are in the Albuquerque area, we're having another of our popular Adoptathons this weekend. On February 9, 2008 come check out our affectionate, litter-trained, spayed and neutered house rabbits available for adoption or just stop by to talk to some knowledgeable bunny people. This is the place to get all your house rabbit questions answered! The Adoptathon celebrates Adopt a Rescued Rabbit Month and will be held at the Petco on 10700 Lomas NE between 11 am and 2 pm.

Several breeds and sizes are available this time - there is an angora, a super soft Rex, and many baby bunnies. Personally I think Amy (seen below) seems to have the right bunny attitude.

Walking in Stockholm

I just love to walk it makes me smile! no snow (lovely) and the weathers getting better .
(A little rainy but spring is on it's way!).
Stockholm is such a pretty city, always something different to see and the walking riding paths are amazing.
So no excuse's for me to take the train!

And as I walked home on Tuesday, I passed some knitted Graffiti! which made my smile even bigger!
Such an excellent idea.....

color therapy

This time of the year, I always feel a need for some change, and since it's been so gray out I was in the mood for some brighter color. I decided to do something different with the foyer and front hallway, and other than buying a gallon of creamy white paint and an inexpensive runner from Home Depot, I used what I already had around.

The worst part was stripping off the old wallpaper and prepping the walls. It took forever to get rid of the paste left behind, and I had to patch and prime the walls before painting. (One good thing I learned was that 3 parts vinegar to 1 part water works well to remove wallpaper backing and paste.)

Two chairs were moved out to make way for the bench that was in the dining room, which received a new coat of Martha's Everyday Color paint in Dill Flower. For now I have this oil painting hanging over it, until I am able to have one of Stephanie's charcoal drawings framed...

I gathered some red books I had and my red and white transferware tureen for the dresser. In the little tea cup is one of the soybean wax candles that I received as a very kind gift from Carla...

So far I think I'm liking the change :)
