Simplicity 2584

I had grand plans to sew many new summer tops,
but this is all I have finished,
and summer ends in about 3 weeks?
Oh well...
by Cynthia Rowley.
I made View C with my own modifications
to the sleeves.
I loved the red & white cotton plaid
when I found it on clearance at Joann Fabrics...
after it was sewn, I wasn't so sure if
I would actually love it on...

Finally, a couple of weeks after it was done
I decided to give it a try...
...and it's so comfortable to wear,
 I think it's a keeper.

{And don't you love the becoming hand
and arm veins?}

CSN Bookshelves

I have been contacted to write another review for CSN stores. This family of stores has SO many great products, that it's tough to choose something to review! They have a great selection of table lamps, as well as kitchenware, housewares, and of course, bookcases!! Since I still have piles of books with no homes, I think I need to choose another bookcase, don't you? This time, I wanted to try something a little more unique. Here are some of the many different styles to choose from:

I noticed that a lot of other bloggers picked this L shaped bookcase:

How cute and fun is this hanging shelf??

This ladder shelf won't hold as much but it looks really cute and classy!

What do you think??

Waiting on Wednesday (35)

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Breaking the Spine, and it is a way to show off the books you can't wait to be released!!

This week I chose:

"Secondhand Charm"

by Julie Berry
Bloomsbury USA Children's Books
Release Date: October 12 2010

The following description is from goodreads.com

In a secluded village, magic sparkles on the edges of the forest. There, a young girl named Evie possesses unusually strong powers as a healer. A gypsy's charms—no more than trinkets when worn by others—are remarkably potent when Evie ties them around her neck. Her talents, and charms, have not escaped the notice of the shy stonemason's apprentice. But Evie wants more than a quiet village and the boy next-door. When the young king's carriage arrives one day, and his footman has fallen ill, Evie might just get her chance after all . . .

Berry's debut novel garnered glowing reviews and strong sales—and now she's done it again with a beautifully woven tale to keep all readers, young and old, absolutely charmed.

I am so excited for this book!! The author's first book, The Amaranth Enchantment was one of my favorite books I've read this year!!

What are you waiting for this week??
