Crochet Blankets of Love.

Rasmus naughtily curled up in Evies blanket.
Right so I've been busy, but busy buzzy with nothing... just life.

Evie's beautiful pink alpaca and a mixed blend 1st bed, blanket finally completed.
This has been a mare, as I just could get it right , hook knit yarn but size 8 hook the perfect tension and its huge, beautifully girlie pink stitches all in a row.

Pink alpaca.

Bean

(above the V of hood, I added traingles to make square)

With my son home from uni and for those who follow you may have remembered my blanket for uni project, crocheted along the journey of dropping my son to be alone in the big wide world of university.

Well he's back for the summer and complained that its just not big enough.
I had recycled a shawl in his blanket/patch work lots of parts crochet
chained together, so I needed to level this part out it was to be almost hooded.

He decided he wanted regular, Just like home.

One of my big loves for crochet is that you can just keep adding......
Grow the project with the baby (so to speak) 19!!!

So its considerably grown.  Here's it finished for phase two.

Big bench sized.

Memory in the stitches

Funny thing was it made a sad, yet happy at the same time, reminding me of the early days of uni.  Classic empty nest.  Even the most non maternal missed her son.

Cup Cakes

Cup cakes, no mention for a while as the visit a village a week has halted.

But I did recently make it to London(late birthday) and on the recommendation of a friend got to sample a Red velvet Hummingbird cup cake.......

Pretty dam good.  Velvety and pinky red, so a winner all-round.
