Life has gotten a bit busy of late,
creating all the more need to fit in
a little knitting or reading
here and there.
My current knitting project is my third from
the thrift store on their $1 sale day--it was
very soft and a larger size so I knew I would
have plenty of bulky weight yarn to create something new.
Some of you have asked how I know there will be
enough yarn--well it's just an educated/lucky
guess. I don't measure or weigh the yarn,
but just base my judgement on the size of the
original piece. So far it has worked out!
I still have one arm to unravel...
...but decided to go ahead and get started...
It's the oatmeal pullover by Jane Richmond,
and on 11 needles it's knitting up very quick.

I was happy to pick this request up from
my library yesterday...
A Perfectly Kept House is the Sign of A Misspent Life: How to live creatively with collections, clutter, work, kids, pets, art, etc... and stop worrying about everything being perfectly in its place.
I love Mary Randolph Carter's books,
and I think this is my favorite so far.
